Each of the 12 squares of this afghan is centered on acquiring a new skill. The class will meet the first Tuesday of every month through June, 2011. Sign up for every square, only a few, or even just one. You'll learn so many techniques by making a great afghan, lap robe, or pillow. Reservations are open now for the first 3 classes. Sweater Knitting 101

Making this newborn-sized cardigan will teach you every skill needed to tackle any sweater with confidence: pattern reading, increasing, decreasing, setting in sleeves, picking up stitches, making buttonholes, and seaming. Enter the world of sweater knitting!
Magic Loop Socks - One Sock at a Time
This class takes 3 sessions: Tuesdays: 7/27, 8/24, 8/31; 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Instructor: Georgia - $50 + materials, pattern included
This technique for knitting socks with one circular needle is for anyone who wants an alternative to double-pointed needles. This is our most popular class, so don't wait to sign up.
Alphas & Omegas: Cast Ons & Bind Offs
This class takes 1 session: Tuesdays: 8/10; 6:30-9:00 p.m.
Expand your knitting universe by learning news cast ons (cable, crochet, provisional, and circular) and bind offs (twice worked, crochet, picot). To sign up for a class, call or come by the shop.

INDIVIDUAL INSTRUCTION
One-on-one instruction (knit or crochet) is available during regular store hours, except Wednesday after 12 noon and Thursday after 6:00 pm. Our fee is $20 per hour and can be prorated in 15 minute increments.

KNIT IN -- Wednesdays, Noon - 4:30 pm CDT Thursdays, 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm Pack up your current project and enjoy a friendly chat while you work. See what other knitters and crocheters are working on this week. Frequently our Thursday evening group is engaged in a Knit-Along (KAL) project, but everyone is welcome. Watch the calendar for the beginning of the next KAL project.
CROCHET CLUB -- Third Wednesday, 7:00pm - 9:00pm
If crochet is your passion, you belong in this group! You’ll enjoy 2 hours of crocheting and fellowship plus Show-and-Share. It’s the perfect way to connect with other crocheters. All levels of expertise are welcome! P.S. The shop will be closed from 4:30 to 6:45 p.m.
