How much yarn do I need to bind off? It takes a length of yarn about 3 to 4 times the width of the area to be bound off. Where do I find a straight #36 needle? Addi Turbo offers a circular #36 needle that is 20mm which can be used to knit in rows.  Susan Bates makes a Broomstick Lace needle in #35 that is 19mm.  With these super bulky projects the difference is minimal, and the Broomstick Lace pins are much less expensive.
